How to fill your Graphos Pen

This picture is taken from the original Pelikan Graphos Information sheet.

Graphis images of pen filling
Fitting the Graphos nib to the holder.
Hold pen and place nib as shown in the 1st picture, the two 'lugs' on the nib go into the two holes of the pen. Hold nib to pen, press down and slide the nib backwards towards the holder locating the two lugs in their respective openings.

Removing the Graphos nib.
Hold the nib as shown between the thumb and forefinger, with thumb of the other hand push the nib away from the holder.

Removing the Graphos feed.
On the underside of the pen is a small protruding metal pin, take a blunt knife/straight edged object and gently push the feed out as shown. Use a cloth or chamois to pull the feed from the holder. Always wash, brush with a old toothbrush and dry an 'inky' feed before replacing.

Filling with ink.
Remove the feed as shown previously and add ink to the reservoir (1-2ml) replace the feed. Fit an 'A' nib, open the nib, give the pen a few sharp downward shakes. A drop of ink will show at the ink hole of the nib (or on your work surface!), when the drop shows close the nib and test on scrap paper. If it doesn't make a line run the nib over damp paper or chamois to get it going. Can be filled as shown in the feeder recess, not always successful if the feed is clogged.

N.B. If the feed does not remove with small amount of pressure then the pen probably needs cleaning. Our Zest-it Dip Pen Nib Cleaner will work just fine for releasing and freeing the feed.
